Optionally, as a business customer you can enter your VAT number when placing the order, you are not obliged to do so as a Dutch company. Your VAT number will be checked during the input directly by a link with the tax authorities for verification.
Example of a VAT number
NL001234567B01
A VAT number has a fixed structure. The example above consists of the following parts:
- NL: the country code for the Netherlands
- 001234567: An RSIN/fiscal number or citizen service number
- B01: an addition of 3 positions, namely B01 to B99
A VAT number has 14 characters. If it is shorter, it is completed with zeros after the country code. This happens if the RSIN/tax number or citizen service number has fewer positions.
