How do I choose the right light colour?
What is colour temperature? What are kelvin values? Which colour temperature suits my living room or bathroom best? Gijs explains all this in this brand new video. So you will immediately know which colour temperature is best for your situation.
Choosing a light colour has to do with the room where you want to place the lighting. We can distinguish light colours thanks to Kelvin. The lower the Kelvin value, the warmer the colour. Likewise, you have a whiter/cooler colour of light when the Kelvin value is high.
We can divide the Kelvin values with the correct designation and the functionalities with the correct light colour. Below is a list of the light colours and the functions/rooms for which they are best used.

2200K-2700K Extra warm white
If you want a pleasant atmosphere at home or in the garden then you should choose this light colour. This is an ideal light colour if you do not have to carry out any work. Use this light colour in rooms where a warm atmosphere should be created or where there is already plenty of natural daylight.
3000K Warm white
If you are looking for a warm light colour for your home or garden then 3000K warm white is an ideal choice. This light colour is often used in living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms and other spaces where you want to create a pleasant atmosphere. Also consider that in the garden you can illuminate the plants, flowers or trees with 3000K warm white which gives a nice appearance.
4000K-4500K Neutral white
Do you want lighting that is suitable for office work or at home for the study? Then we recommend 4000K neutral white, this is a light colour that increases concentration and reduces fatigue. The neutral white colour is a pleasant colour to work in but can also be used in a shed or storage room where a little natural daylight enters the room. This light colour is often used in gyms, car showrooms, shoe shops, clothing shops, schools and other similar applications.
5000K-5700K Daylight white
Are you looking for lighting for your garage, workplace, attic, cellar or storage? Then you can choose a daylight white colour. This is a light colour that is applied in spaces where little or no natural daylight enters the room. We do not recommend this in office buildings because the light can be too white and can be counterproductive when concentrating. You can apply 5000K-5700K daylight white in kitchens of restaurants or in hospitals and other spaces where daylight is needed.
6000K-6500K Daylight white
This is mostly used in areas where you need to work in workplaces, industrial areas, car parks, dental practices, warehouses and other similar areas.
